Video Production for Arts & Culture

Video Production for Arts & Culture. Over the last few years, we have been luck enough to work with a great number of talented artists whose work greatly inspires what we do as videographers. Here is a selection from the last 12 months.

Statement of Intent – Short Documentary

The above short Documentary ‘Statement of Intent’ was created alongside Dr Heather Ross & Dr Jackie Haynes. Commissioned by CPRA UCLan, in which they discuss their collaborative practice. They discuss how they came to work together, the purchase of a cargo parachute and the projects that have ensued.
Filmed over a number of sessions at Birley Studios, Towneley Hall.

The Harris Museum

It has been over 2 years since The Harris Museum in Preston closed its doors to the public for major renovation works to the building. In February of 2025, we were invited to produce this short video which updated the community on its opening, later in the year.

We have filmed many projects with the ArtLab team, based at Uclan in Preston. The above video is part of the ‘Women in Print’ project. Artist, Helen Cammock discusses her work and the collaborative opportunities involved with this residency.

The above teaser was created to promote ‘Milk report’ which is a performance created by Conway & Young. Both Jen & Jessy had a long drive from Bristol to Preston (we filmed at the Media Factory at UClan). The film was commissioned by Feed Futures a project about infant feeding and public space and the screening will be hosted by Crescent Arts at Woodend Gallery.
Filming this was extremely messy, but a whole lot of fun. I have no idea how J & J kept a straight face with all the milk, make-up and bananas being used over multiple takes.

ted talks - video - lancashire

Lancashire Event Videography: The team at Tensar U.K asked us to produce a number of ‘Ted Talk’ style videos for their 3-day International Conference which had speakers from all over the world explaining the vision of the company and how to make our world a safer and more sustainable place for generations to come.

These examples you can view here are short snippets from 3, 10 to 15-minute presentations which we filmed in Clitheroe over a 4-hour session. The equipment used on this shoot was a very simple 2 camera set up with microphones we fitted to the individual speakers and then using the house lights to create a little extra magic.

Video Production for The Health and Social Care sector

2020 has been a very challenging year for all the wonderful Staff, Nurses, Volunteers and many others who work in the Health and Social Care sector. We have been working with a number of Charities/Hospices and care groups over the Lockdown period to help promote them and offer alternative, online productions of their events.

Wigan & Leigh Hospice hired us on 2 occasions this year to produce an ‘online service’ for family and friends of those who had sadly passed. Usually, people would be able to visit the grounds, walk through the wooded area and attend a small remembrance service but with the current restrictions, that has been impossible.

At the end of the year, they asked for something similar to cover their Light for a Life service.

Pelican Care Group hired us to create a series of videos for their web and social media pages to promote what they provide for vulnerable children and young adults. For this particular video, we interviewed the staff and spent the day with them around Southport & Formby.
