We produced quite a number of videos for schools around the Northwest with Outwork during the lockdown periods and honestly thought they would settle down a little now that restrictions have been lifted. Luckily for us, we were wrong. It seems that they have really taken off! Here are a few examples of what we have been working on this year.

Late last year we joined the team at The Harris Museum to take care of their Photography & Videography for web and social media purposes. The contract was for 12 months to see them through to September 2021 when they will be closing down for major renovation’s and repairs for which our work would assist in receiving grants from The National Lottery. And guess what? They received all the money!!!
During the last 6 months we have worked on so many projects with The Harris and we’d just like to share some of our favorite’s with you on this blog.
Black History Month
Preston Videography
For this years Black History Month we produced a number of short videos with people in the community and their relationship with both the Harris and Preston.
Chinese New Year
Preston Videography
For the Chinese New Year, we produced approximately 15 videos with activities and cultural information with the help of The Confucius Institute at Uclan.
Camp in the Collection
Possibly our favorite collaborations with The Harris would be Camp in the Collection. Camp enthusiast, actor, screenwriter and thoroughly nice chap Harry Clayton-Wright takes us on tour of the museum and reveals how much ‘Camp’ is on display.

Harris Live
During the Lockdown, the Harris invited musicians to put on a short set for online purposes. For this we had a multi-camera set up with a sound technician to take care of all the audio. Here are a few short examples from a selections of the shows.
It has been great working with all the team so far, so many different projects have really introduced us to a wider community of talented people, its been a real pleasure. If you would like to know more about what we can offer for your business then please get in touch.
2020 has been a very challenging year for all the wonderful Staff, Nurses, Volunteers and many others who work in the Health and Social Care sector. We have been working with a number of Charities/Hospices and care groups over the Lockdown period to help promote them and offer alternative, online productions of their events.
Wigan & Leigh Hospice hired us on 2 occasions this year to produce an ‘online service’ for family and friends of those who had sadly passed. Usually, people would be able to visit the grounds, walk through the wooded area and attend a small remembrance service but with the current restrictions, that has been impossible.
At the end of the year, they asked for something similar to cover their Light for a Life service.
Pelican Care Group hired us to create a series of videos for their web and social media pages to promote what they provide for vulnerable children and young adults. For this particular video, we interviewed the staff and spent the day with them around Southport & Formby.

During the lockdown period, we worked with a number of schools alongside Outwork Studio.
The brief was basically to produce an ‘Open Evening’ video for the parents and pupils who obviously were unable to look around the school and talk to the teachers and staff to get an idea of the facilities, ethos and general feel of what can be expected in this next stage in their education.
A combination of open shots of the interiors and exteriors, Aerial footage, interviews with staff and pupils all combined to create these videos.
Social distancing actually made the filming part of this process a lot easier than previous works in schools as they had minimal staff on site, hardly and pupils so we hardly had any restrictions and mostly had free reign of the classrooms.

Like most businesses, the Coronavirus pretty much shut down our doors from March to June. We could have sat around once the restrictions started to slowly lift but we decided enough time had been spent enjoying the quiet life in our garden, taking part in Zoom quiz nights so we started reaching out to some of our previous clients to see what we could offer during the lockdown period.
In our line of work there are plenty of opportunities to work a safe distances and for our first day back, flying a Drone around Foxfields Country Hotel or simply walking around the building with no staff present was a perfect way to kick us back into work.

Derian House asked us to produce a short video showing what it’s like to actually work there alongside a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, and what the Derian Values mean to them. This is an updated version with all new footage from an original concept we produced for thema few years ago. Filming took place over 2 days onsite at Derian House, it was a very fast paced shoot with lots of shots to cram in including interviews with staff, drone photography and plenty of B-Roll video to tell the story.

Our friends at Events Northern contacted us in regards to filming the Muslim Lifestyle Expo 2019 event in October at Event City in Manchester. The event was held over 2 days with thousands of visitors enjoying music, fashion and entertainment. For this project we had the task of covering the event and gathering interviews with exhibitors, speakers and guests to help promote the event for the following years. Manchester Video Production
Wedding Supplier Promotional Video Award winning wedding singer Steven Heath contacted us to produce a video package for his web and social media pages, this included a promotional video which he explains for future clients what he can do for them on the day, a number of live sessions recorded at a wedding and a few fun, short instagram teasers as well.
On the same day we were also joined by Pat Mulligan Wedding Host & DJ, Pat wanted something very similar to the above but a little more descriptive of what he can provide for Brides on the day. In total we produced 6 short videos for Pat.
